  Introduction:  
 

1. “Buland Security Services”, abbreviated as BSS is a DGR empanelled Security Agency. The Company exists in the market on its quality and quantity, based on the best possible performance on ground . The professional acumen is the guiding principle. The Company has kept its overhead expenditures to the minimum possible.

2. BSS is at par if not better than the premier and renowned Security Agencies in the arena. The BSS is driven by a professional and dedicated team of ex-army officers, instructors and various professionals in the fields of recruitment, administration, marketing, training, fire fighting and security having very rich experience in their respective field.

3. The Senior management consists of experienced staff from civil as well as Armed Forces background with 20 to 40 years of experience in the security management. The team is lead by Colonel Jaivir Singh ( Retd), the Proprietor, who has 31 years experience in the field of Security and various appointments in the field of Administration, Material Management, Transport Management, Facility Management, Recruitment, Selection, Training, Placement, Documentation, Telecommunication and Housekeeping and other related subjects.

 
     
  The Core Team:  
  4. Brig. R K Mathur, ‘Vir Chakra’, ‘Vishisht Seva Medal’ ( Retd) leads the senior management and he is the senior advisor in BSS . He , with his lifetime experience of security and administration patronizes BSS and explores all the possibilities to make it a success. With his blessings and expert guidance the BSS is running smoothly today and very soon it will need no reference . The core team also has honorary members who contribute towards the tactical and strategic expertise; they are Major Narayan Singh ( Retd) who has rich experience in the field of security, administration, material management and logistics. He has worked with the leading corporate houses and other reputed institutions and he himself is running a security agency. Col AP Singh ( Retd) is another milestone in the constitution of BSS. He runs ‘National Security Training Institute’ at New Delhi for training defense personnel and civilians and transforms them into a Security-conscious human beings. BSS has tied up with ‘National Security Training Institute’ for training its incumbents.  
     
  Training:  
 

5. Training, being the core part of any trade and institution, we have the dedicated staff to impart the training in various subjects depending on the need. However the basic training is given to all our incumbents. Generally speaking the Ex-servicemen undergo a capsule of 06 days and civilians for 10 days. Amongst civilians the NCC qualified and well-educated young men are preferred. The minimum educational qualification for civilians is 10th standard. The minimum age laid down is 18 years and maximum age limit is generally considered seeing the fitness, experience and qualification of the incumbent.

6. The space for training the civilians and ex-servicemen is available around the office. This space is being utilized as the training area for the time being. The training center includes an obstacle course, drill area, weapons training area, the perimeter patrolling and handling the intruders. In addition to the outdoor training and normal guard duties, the BSS guards are also being trained in the class rooms in the following subjects :-

(a) Lectures on Industrial Security
(b) Fire fighting
(c) Frisking of suspected persons
(d) Access control
(e) Handling of weapons and explosives
(f)  Escorting VIPs
(g) Guarding the installations
(h) Alarm systems
(i)  Latest electronic gadgets
(j)  Legal aspects and contingencies
(k) Self-bearing and behavior with the public
(l)  Calling the police and sequence of actions
(m)  First aid and evacuation of casualties
(n) Pay and allowances
(o) EPF and ESI
(p) Psychology of a security guard and the persons who are a threat to security

7. Specialized training caters for the specialized subjects:-

(a) Handling of Toll Barriers.
(b) Manning of parking sites.
(c) Duties of a Body Guard (Shadow)
(d) Legal aspects of a Body Guard’s duties
(e) Drivers and chauffeurs
(f) Office staff such as stenographers, receptionists, attendants and lady staff
(g) Bank duties and escorting the cash in transit
(h) Duties of CNG and petrol pump staff
(i) Duties in a mine field and construction site
(j) Duties of a Security Guard at a Bungalow
(k) Duties of a Security Guard at a Society
(l) Duties of Supervisors

8. Any other subject not catered for above will be included in this chapter. Some new subjects might come up since the security is a vast and a growing subject. It may include the following subjects: -

(a) Conducting the events
(b) Organizing the rallies and lectures
(c) Conducting the funerals of soldiers and VVIP
(d) Dealing with the police and other governmental organizations
(e) Courier duties
(f) Escorting a VVIP in the flight
(g) Assisting the government machinery in administering the relief
(h) Organizing the refugee camps
(i) Evacuating the human beings in the times of natural calamities
(j) Helping the authorities in disaster management
(k) Helping the Flood and Earthquake victims

9. ‘BSS’ has tied up with a training institute by the name of “ National Security Training Institute” situated in Sagarpur, Pankha Road opposite Janakpuri. The institute is headed by Col A P Singh ( Retd) who is a security expert and he is helped by his team of specialized officers from diverse fields- like fire fighting, security related matters and all other security related training needs are catered for in today’s changing security environment. Before deploying our guards in any unit the BSS holds a meeting of the experts and all the related subjects to that particular institute/company are discussed and then a blue print is prepared to cater for the security needs of that particular institute.

 
     
  In – House Supervision:  
 

10. Daily checks Area Officers will visit and supervise the post 2 to 3 times a day. Manager in-charge of the unit visits the guards regularly - cross checking and interacting with the clients for feedback and effective monitoring. Random checks are conducted by Duty Officers.

11. Wireless Communication. We maintain a local network of mobile phones to crosscheck the alertness of guards round the clock.

12. Personnel Policy. We have a team of well-trained, highly motivated and dedicated security staff who is loyal and duty bound. ‘Safety Saves’ is the slogan that ‘BSS’ guards follow. BSS guards are reliable and professionally sound. In order to achieve the above we believe in the following: -

(a) Salary is disbursed from 4th to 7th of every month.
(b) Incentives are disbursed by the way of cash rewards, increments and promotions to the
     outstanding staff.
(c) Facilities like accommodation and other statutory requirements are taken care of.
(d) We maintain a periodic rotation of Guards and Supervisors.

 
     
  Mode of Recruitment:  
 

13. Ex-servicemen are employed through various Sainik Boards. We also have a team of officers who conduct recruitment programme from time to time. Reasonable standards of height, weight, chest and medical verification are also ensured.

14. Police Verification For ex-servicemen, by proper screening of the discharge book and pension documents. For Civilians, the recruitment is only through reference of known people or else they should have a certificate from the Gram Pradhan/Sarpanch of their area to attest their credentials. In addition to the above the help of police is also sought as and when required.

 
     
  Mode of Transport:  
  15. BSS provides the mode of transport to its Supervisors. Managers get the four wheelers to perform their duties. In case they spend their own money for performance of duties, it is reimbursed. The employment of Supervisors, managers and other senior posts is on as required basis. BSS has it’s own transport facilities for the duty points where ever they are not connected with public transport.
